We have all heard about mind over matter. Now I am not saying that the dream fairy is going to show up and give you everything you want but maybe it's more of a mind set over matter. Maybe it's more about how you tackle life everyday that matters.
I am sure many of you have seen the interview going around on social media several months back. It was an interview with LeBron James when he was 16 and had just won the basketball state championship for the second time. I am certainly not clamming to be a basketball fan...I am a football kind of girl thru and thru. But I was pretty blown away by something said in this interview by a kid who was only 16!
Lebron had stated, "Everyday you got to go out there and work because there is someone out their workin' too and if you stop I think they can pass you up."
To me this is a great mind set to have of a 30 or 40 year old but to have this mind set at 16 years old is impressive. I am not sure why this one statement has stuck with me but it has. There are days when I am exhausted both mentally and physically. Days when there are pots in my studio that need to be worked on and I just don't feel like it. It's on these days that I think about this statement. It helps motivate me to go and work. I sure don't want to get passed up!
