Can you believe it?!?!?
Hey guys!
Four years ago, I opened up and launch this website and business. Looking back, I can’t believe it’s only been 4 years as so much has happened, so much has changed, and it’s hard to even remember my life before I had Off Your Rocker Pottery.
Some of you have been on this journey with me since the beginning, some of you are just joining, but I am grateful for you all. Thank you for your support, I couldn’t do this without you.
Going from many years of making pottery as a love and hobby to making it a job and a living, was a huge change. That change has shown up in my work. After making hundreds and hundreds (ok at this point we are talking thousands, which is kinda insane to think about) of pots my work has evolved into something I couldn’t be happier and more proud of.
I had to look at things differently when I wasn’t just making for myself or friends, but making things and asking people to pay their hard-earned money for. I kept feeling I had to make things better and better, to add more value into each piece. Then you also have the whole practice makes perfect, and boy have I gotten in the hours of practice.
Then there was the whole learning curve of developing and creating a website. Thank goodness I LOVE online shopping, so I had lots of experience of what I like and don’t like about different sites. I hope you like how I’ve set things up, and hey, I’m always open for suggestions on improvements too.
For years I only was concerned in how to make pots, now I had to figure out how to photograph them too. Something that I’m still a work in progress on, but I’m very happy with the progress so far.
From being a no name to getting featured in articles, my work in a #1 selling cookbook, food blogs, and then a full-page feature in a magazine, well, I’m beyond grateful.
So thank you for supporting my work, and for being on this journey with me. If all of this has happened in just four short years, I cannot wait to see what the next four and beyond bring!!!
If you enjoyed this, or if this resonated with you at all, I ask that you pop on over and take a look at my handmade dinnerware. If you see something you like, or a great gift, please pick it up.
I so appreciate you support, thank you. And for reading this blog save 10% OFF your order by using checkout code: Journey
