I am embarking on a journey. Although, I will physically be traveling alone, I am taking my creativity, my pottery, and all of you along in my heart. I invite you to come along via my Facebook and Instagram feeds to see what kind of shenanigans this potter can get into.
A few weeks ago I was on a walk with someone when the topic of “Is the glass half full, or half empty?” came up. This man had a very interesting perspective that I had not considered before. He said, “It depends whether you are filling it, or emptying it. “
It is the trajectory that it is traveling that matters. If the cup is half way and you have been filling it, chances are the flow in will continue. But if all that you have been doing is slowly draining it, pretty soon that half will become empty.
In life it is our heart that is our cup that we must fill. And just like the chambers in our heart, we have more than one cup. These past few months I have been filling the cup of Off Your Rocker Pottery, which truly is a piece of my heart. The creating of the new Funky Farmhouse Collection, and all that goes into launching that line, had me on a rigorous work schedule with very little time for anything else. I knew going into the goal I set, that I would need a recharge on my personal cup afterwards. Because of this schedule my personal cup is half empty at the moment, not half full.
So this next week I will be filling up that cup in my heart, the cup of adventure and new experiences, and I will be doing it in Ireland....
If you enjoyed this, or if this resonated with you at all, I ask that you pop on over and take a look at my handmade dinnerware. If you see something you like, or a great gift, please pick it up.
