Stir-Fry with a Brown Garlic Sauce

Stir-Fry with a brown garlic sauce free recipe

Stir-fry recipes are great to have to utilize any vegetables you have in the house. They are easily adaptable for what’s on hand, the only problem, you need to have a great sauce. Well here it is, your go to for a stir-fry sauce. The ingredients in this simple and delicious sauce are, or will be now, staples that you can always keep on hand in your pantry. Get creative on your meat and vegetables and let me know how it comes out for you.

Ingredients for sauce:

1/3 cup Soy Sauce

¾ cup Chicken Broth

1/3 cup Rice Wine

3 ½ TBL Sugar

1 TBL Sesame Oil

¼ tsp Pepper

2 cloves Garlic, minced

½ tsp Ground Ginger

2 TBL Corn Starch

¼ cup Water

 Ingredients For Stir-Fry:

White Rice

Chicken, cut up into small strips or cubes

Broccoli

Shredded Carrots

Directions:

Cook rice according to package directions.

Meanwhile make the sauce. In one of our handmade medium bowls, combine soy sauce, broth, rice wine, sugar, sesame oil, and pepper. In one of our small handmade bowls dissolve the corn starch in the water. In a medium pan over medium heat add a small amount of cooking oil (I use about ½ tsp olive oil) add garlic and cook until fragrant. Add soy sauce mixture and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook for an additional minute. Add the cornstarch mixture and cook and stir until sauce is nice and thick.

While the sauce and rice are cooking in a wok or large pan heat a small amount of oil on medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook and stir until it begins to brown, add vegetables and cook until tender crisp. Pour sauce over meat and vegetables and stir well until completely coated and mixed in, remove from heat.

To serve use one of our handmade plates and place stir-fry top of a bed of rice and enjoy!
